Introduced in 1940, this U.S. Navy flight jacket was initially called the M-422, and from 1950 it was called the G-1. Based on the Type A-2, worn by the USAAF, it brings with it the characteristic pockets and rib cuffs. For more functionality, movement pleats on the back and the warming lambskin collar were added. Part of BuzzRickson's x William Gibson collection, the "BR80597 G-1 Jacket" comes in deep black. Through an intricate "pigment finishing" process, the original brown horsehide is dyed black. The brown core comes out through wear in high-wear areas, giving the jacket a unique patina. The idea for an all-black collection came from a fictional black MA-1 jacket designed by the science-fiction author for his protagonist in his book "Pattern Recognition." Buzz Rickson's brought the never before existed jacket to life, laying the foundation for the unique "Type Black" militaria collaboration.

Shipping
We use DHL for national and international shipping. Delivery within Europe usually takes 3-5 days and international delivery takes 15 days on average.
Shipping costs
Shipping within Germany incurs a flat fee of 4,90€, regardless of size or weight of the order. Returns within Germany are free. Deliveries within the EEC and Switzerland cost 12€ per order and delivceries to the USA and Canada cost 25€, while other international deliveries cost 30€ per order. For deliveries outside the EU, please be aware that customs or import duties may apply, which you would have to cover. For further information, please contact your local customs authority.
You also have the option of collecting your order from Burg & Schild, Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 3, 10178 Berlin, from Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 19:00. Please give us at least 24 hours advance notice, so that we can prepare your order.

Returns
Unworn products can be returned within 14 days. Shipping costs for refund items in Germany are free. International shipping costs depend from country to country. Please inform yourself at your local post office and note that returns should be sent insured. If you want to return an item, please send an e-mail to onlineshop@burgundschild.com including your order number. We will send you a link to a returns label, which you can print and place on the package and bring it to the next DHL store.
