Jackman

Founded in Japan in 1949 by baseball enthusiast Mitsugu Tanabe, Jackman has an impressive history as a sportswear manufacturer. Starting with just three knitting machines, Mitsugu Tanabe developed proprietary machines and knitting techniques that produced unprecedented quality in sportswear. His unique creations were so well received that Jackman made the training clothes for the 1964 Japanese Olympic team. Mitsugu Tanabe's work and philosophy continues to this day: each garment is made in the same factory with the same vintage knitting machines by highly skilled artisans who have been in the garment industry for decades.
