The " SC29264 6.9oz Indigo Kasuri Work Shirt" by SUGAR CANE is made from a unique 6.9oz cotton fabric. The exciting structure in rich indigo is created by the Japanese Kasuri dyeing technique: rope-dyed yarns are dyed differently, sometimes dark, sometimes light. When the yarns are woven together, impressive patterns and structures emerge as if by themselves.

Ikat is the forerunner of the Kasuri technique and was first developed during the reign of the Ryukyu Kingdom (now Okinawa) around 1200 AD.
