Born from the idea of combining two iconic leather jackets, the "Youth of America" merges the classic cut of the 1950s Highwayman with the sleek design of the 1960s Cafe Racer. We have adapted the length and width to today's needs, making it a suitable companion for pubs and motorcycles.
The full-grain horse leather, produced exclusively for Burg & Schild, is exceptionally durable and, due to its high fat content, is almost water-repellent.
Heavier and stiffer than cowhide, this jacket needs to be broken in, but body heat and movement ensure that the leather conforms to the wearer after a while.
Each jacket is individually crafted by an SB specialist in Scotland. Slight differences are evidence of this individual craftsmanship. Since full-grain leather is a natural product, irregularities are not a defect, but rather make it unique.
