Top 5 White T-Shirts for Men: Fit Guide by Burg & Schild

White T-shirts for men – sounds simple, right? But anyone who's ever searched for the 'perfect' white tee knows: it's not that simple. Whether you're looking for a robust, heavyweight model or prefer a classic, clean look, the right fit makes all the difference.

That's why we at Burg & Schild have selected five of the best white T-shirts that we carry with conviction: from Whitesville , The Real McCoy's , Warehouse & Co. , Velva Sheen , to Wonder Looper. Each model represents uncompromising quality, character, and a unique feel.

Almost all T-shirts are made using the traditional loopwheeler technique. They're knitted slowly, in the round, and completely without side seams. This means they're durable, sturdy, and have no weak points. (Exception: Wonder Looper – more on that later.)

Fit reference

Our model wears size M for all five T-shirts .
Height : 174 cm | Weight : 67 kg

Whitesville – classic, slim, iconic

This T-shirt is currently getting a lot of attention, not least thanks to a certain chef from the series The Bear .

But honestly, the hype is justified. Because this shirt doesn't convince with marketing, but with substance.

Originally an American label from the 1950s, Whitesville was revived by Toyo Enterprise in Japan with the goal of bringing back the classic athletic tee in its best form. With attention to detail, without compromise.

Fit

The WV73544 model is the most fitted shirt in our selection. It fits snugly without being too tight, perfect for layering or wearing on its own. The slight taper at the waist creates a defined silhouette, while the shoulders offer just enough room – even for broader torsos. The crewneck collar sits high and rather close – a clean, sporty look with a retro flair. Ideal for slim to average builds.

Material

Made from 7oz Loopwheeler cotton. Noticeably heavier than a standard shirt, yet still breathable and comfortable to wear. The smooth surface creates a uniform, high-quality look, with no annoying side seams. Two-pack for €89.95 – the best value in our selection.

Color : Pure White

Washing instructions : 1–2 cm shrinkage (at 30°C), especially in the length. ( Tip : Order a size larger.)

The Real McCoy's – versatile, straight cut

The MC20000 model is vintage precision par excellence. What makes The Real McCoy 's special? The almost manic attention to detail in reproducing historical clothing, from the cotton fiber to the yarn.

Fit

The cut is straight but not tight. The reinforced ribbed collar fits comfortably and retains its shape. The result: a T-shirt with clean lines, inspired by the 1940s and 50s. The length remains the same, ideal for versatile looks, from a tucked-in fit to a looser silhouette.

Material

Made from 7.5oz loopwheeler cotton with a dry, dense texture. You'll immediately feel the weight—and quality—upon first wear. Ideal for cooler days or anyone who appreciates substance in fabric.

Color : Pure White

Washing behavior : Little to no shrinkage at 30°C.

Warehouse & Co. – slubby & relaxed

Anyone looking for T-shirts with character will sooner or later end up at Warehouse . Model Lot 4601 is reminiscent of sportswear from the 1940s to 1960s with its striking structure and relaxed feel. Warehouse is part of the legendary "Osaka Five" and has shaped the vintage repro movement worldwide. You can see and feel it.

Fit

The cut is boxy and relaxed, with more room in the chest and shoulders. The high, narrow collar gives the look structure. Slightly shorter and with a soft drape, the 4601 is the most relaxed shirt in this selection .

Material

Crafted from custom-spun yarn with an irregular surface and a slight vintage flair. At 6.5 oz, it's a bit lighter than others here, but surprisingly durable. Just slip it on and go.

Color : Off-white

Washing behavior : 2-3 cm shrinkage at 30°C.

Velva Sheen – classic & timeless

Want that 1950s look? Velva Sheen delivers. Founded in Ohio in the 1930s, the brand once supplied athletic wear to the US military. Today, its shirts are made in Japan – with the same high standards as back then.

Fit

The cut is classic, like The Real McCoy's, but with a softer feel. The shoulders and sleeves are fitted, and the collar is comfortably narrow. Thanks to minimal shrinkage, the Heavy Crew Neck Shirt stays long enough to tuck into your pants —for that clean James Dean look.

Material

The texture is dry, firm, and fine-meshed. It weighs almost 8 oz , but doesn't feel bulky. Less textured than Warehouse, but more even and well-groomed. Perfect for those who feel heavy but don't want to show it off.

Color : Off-white

Washing behavior : Little to no shrinkage at 30°C.

Wonder Looper – heavy & robust

Now things are getting really bulky. The Double Heavyweight Tee from Wonder Looper weighs in at a whopping 12.1 oz – the heaviest and arguably most distinctive shirt we offer. No loopwheel, but true craftsmanship.

Fit

A generous cut with plenty of room in the chest and shoulders. The fabric is so dense that it creates a structured effect, almost like a short-sleeved sweater. The wide, flat collar completes the workwear vibe. Ideal for those who like a robust yet modern look, whether worn with raw denim or under thick outerwear.

Material

With its raw surface , tight knit, and solid weight, this shirt is perfect for transitional wear or for guys who simply want more.

Color : Pure White

Washing behavior : Little to no shrinkage at 30°C.
