Pure Blue Japan
Pure Blue Japan is all about Indigo: the plant, whose leaf is employed not only as a logo, but also as a dye for the high grade materials the company uses. The company was founded in Kurashiki City Okayama in 1997 by Ken-ichi Iwaya, since then, it has become one of denim enthusiasts favorites.
One reason for this is the material that is used to make Pure Blue’s jeans on old-fashioned low-tension shuttle looms. This ensures that a rough, fairly loose, or „slubby“ surface is created, leading to high-contrast fades.
Pure Blue Japan continues to make jeans the old way, in Japan.
