The "Michael" shoe by Paraboot was designed in 1945 by the second generation of the Richard-Pontvert family, shortly after the end of the war. In a time of material scarcity, the focus was on the essentials: two eyelets, a sturdy, narrow lacing system, durable leather with reinforced seams, a thick insole, and a resilient rubber sole.

The name, fitting for the fashion of the time, was inspired by Michel Richard, the current chairman – Michel became Michael, and the shoe secured its place in history. Simple and timeless, a design that has stood the test of time over the decades.

"Norwegian Welt Construction" is a particularly robust and waterproof shoe construction in which the upper leather is connected to the sole by a double seam.
