A summer piece with charm and attitude: The “ SS52569 Trip to Hawaii ” shorts by SUN SURF feature hand-drawn scenes of Hawaiian beach culture – designed by legendary illustrator Ryōhei Yanagihara and further developed by Mookie Sato, his artistic successor.

The motifs: surfers, waves, boats, palm trees – loosely drawn, lovingly arranged, somewhere between a vintage postcard and pop art. The whole thing is printed on lightweight cotton seersucker, which, thanks to its creped texture, not only drapes airily but also stays comfortably snug against the skin.

The fit is relaxed without being baggy – and can handle anything, from a day by the water to an evening in the city.

Each pair of shorts is a little unique because the pattern varies depending on the processing.
