The "BR16042 WWII Denim Blouse" is part of Buzz Rickson's X William Gibson Collection and is based on denim jackets that were developed during World War II to bridge supply shortages. The pocket flaps of earlier models have been omitted and the front buttons have been reduced from five to four. Made from robust 13.6oz black selvedge denim
The idea for an all-black collection was inspired by Buzz Rickson's fictional black MA-1 jacket, which the science fiction author designed for his protagonist in his book "Pattern Recognition". Buzz Rickson's brought the never-before-seen jacket to life and thus laid the foundation for the unique militaria collaboration "Type Black".
