One of the most venerable Japanese jeans brands, Edwin, is the product of one man's passion. At the end of the 1940s, it was almost impossible to get high quality jeans in Japan. Tsunemi Yonehachi started by importing vintage jeans from the US and treating them prior to sale – the seeds of Edwin were planted. After finally establishing Edwin in 1961, he produced his jeans himself; from original American denim. The name stands for the creativity and passion of this Japanese brand. After all, it's an anagram of the word "denim." It didn't take long for Edwin to develop its own denims and designs and today, the brand delivers outstanding value for money.
