Jackman's "Back Nep Umps Shorts" exemplify relaxed functionality – inspired by baseball umpires' shorts. They feature a loose fit, an elastic waistband, belt loops, an inside drawcord, and a distinctive back umps pocket.

Made from a dry cotton blend with yarns from the USA and Australia, spun in a unique way: During carding—the alignment of the cotton fibers—the machine is set to create small knots in the yarn. The result is a fabric with a rustic, almost handmade character.

Because such yarns are more delicate, weaving requires a great deal of finesse. Jackman relies on vintage rapier looms, which were originally developed for delicate materials like silk – perfect for this sophisticated fabric with its natural look and texture.
