Y'2 Leather
Y'2 Leather produces leather jackets the way they used to be – raw, honest, uncompromising. Founded in 1998 by Takao Yanamoto, who already had four decades of experience in leather processing. The workshop in Osaka has since been the center of a craft that follows its own path unfailingly.
Y'2 Leather works closely with small Japanese tanneries to develop exclusive leathers – such as indigo-dyed or horse leather tanned with fermented kakishibu fruit juice. Completely without pigments, so that the natural structure is preserved and a patina develops over time, which is otherwise impossible.
