Y'2 makes leather jackets the way they used to: raw, honest, and uncompromising. Founded in 1998 by Takao Yanamoto, who already had four decades of experience in leatherworking at the time, the Osaka studio has been a hub for true craftsmanship ever since.

Y'2 works closely with small Japanese tanneries to develop exclusive leathers – for example, horse leather dyed indigo or tanned with fermented kakishibu fruit juice. Completely pigment-free, so the texture remains and a patina develops over time that can't be bought – only worn.
