The SUN SURF " SS79544 "Bob's" T-Shirt is made of heavy slub jersey, knitted in Japan on rare circular knitting machines from the 1920s to 1960s. Cotton yarns of varying thicknesses combine to create a loose, textured fabric that tells a story with every fiber.

Only about 400 of these old machines are still in use today – making each shirt a true piece of craftsmanship.

The back print is reminiscent of a hand-painted advertising sign from the 1940s or 50s: "BOBS" is emblazoned in retro lettering above a graphic in the style of classic American bike shops – below the fictitious name "Cacura Cycles." The look is reminiscent of a time when small shops were designed with brushstrokes and character. It's no coincidence that this style lands on a T-shirt from Hawaii: The islands were a melting pot of American pop culture, Asian influences, and local lifestyle from an early age.
