Das Freedom Sleeve Sweatshirt von Buzz Rickson’s ist eine Reproduktion eines seltenen Sweats aus den 1940er- und 1950er-Jahren. Damals entwickelt, um maximale Bewegungsfreiheit zu ermöglichen, lebt es von einer ungewöhnlichen Konstruktion.
Die Ärmel laufen in einer geschwungenen S-Form von der Schulter bis zur Seite – ohne Naht direkt unter der Achsel. Das macht den Schnitt aufwendig, aber im Alltag spürbar frei. Die charakteristischen Zwillingsnähte folgen dieser Linie und geben dem Sweat seinen eigenen Ausdruck.
Weil die Fertigung so zeitintensiv war, wurde das Original nur für kurze Zeit produziert. Buzz Rickson’s holt dieses Detail zurück – inklusive der Front-Grafik mit dem „Flying Tigers“-Motiv, das an die legendäre Freiwilligenstaffel der US-Luftwaffe erinnert. Ein Sweatshirt, das Schnittführung, Geschichte und Grafik sauber zusammenbringt.
