Made in Japan from heavy, double-woven sashiko, the "MXOT1317 Heavy Sashiko Jacket" by Momotaro is a piece of craftsmanship that doesn't hide its origins. The fabric is reminiscent of traditional kendo robes: deep indigo on the outside, a lighter asagi tone on the inside. The structure is dense, almost three-dimensional, and gains more character with each wear.

The jacket itself follows a classic, functional cut: two patch front pockets, concealed inner pockets, neatly piped seams, and sleeves with a three-piece construction for greater freedom of movement. The metal buttons bear the peach logo – subtle, yet unmistakable.

Despite the substantial material, the jacket feels supple and comfortable to wear. The Sashiko fabric reacts to movement, warmth, and time – becoming softer, deeper, more personal.
