The Heavyweight 14oz jersey is manufactured on Sinker Weave machines, the successor model to the Loopwheel knitting machines. This has raised the standard of heavy and super-dense knitted materials.

Typically for 1950s sweatwear, the knit is processed horizontally instead of vertically.
