The "Indigo Horse 1st Type Jean Jacket" by Y'2 Leather shows what happens when Japanese tanning art meets denim tradition.

Made from approximately 1.3 mm thick horse leather, which is dyed with genuine indigo in a complex process – a process that took years of development to ensure the color would last in the leather. The result: a deep, natural blue that lightens over time, revealing the light base tone of the leather – similar to aged denim.

The cut follows the classic "1st Type" denim jacket of the 1930s: a short, boxy silhouette with front pleats and a breast pocket with a button flap. Pleats on the back and side gussets were deliberately omitted to keep the surface of the leather clean and clear.

Inside, a lining made of a cotton/linen blend provides structure and breathability, while the sleeves are lined with smooth nylon. Brass buttons with laurel wreath embossing – inspired by old WWII designs – close the front and cuffs. Two inside pockets offer additional storage space.
