The "4623 Indigo MA-1 Flight Jacket" by Studio D'Artisan takes its inspiration from the classic MA-1 of the US Air Force – a flight jacket designed for cramped cockpits, cold weather and maximum freedom of movement: short, compact, functional.

Instead of the typical military green, this version comes in indigo-dyed nylon. The material is reminiscent of the original nylon shells of early flight jackets, but the indigo gives it a completely different look – closer to denim culture, yet retaining the technical character of the originals. Ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, utility pocket on the sleeve, robust zippers: the MA-1 silhouette remains clearly recognizable.

The indigo dyeing process makes each jacket unique. Subtle variations in color, depth, and shading ensure that no two pieces look exactly alike – over time and with wear, additional fading occurs, further individualizing the jacket.
