The "2239-BK Jacquard BORO Patchwork Shirt" by Pure Blue Japan makes a statement of structure and depth. Inspired by the Japanese Boro tradition, the shirt doesn't use classic patchwork, but rather weaves the irregular fields directly into the fabric. Rectangles, slightly different textures, vertical and horizontal – the weave appears randomly arranged, yet remains extremely precise and vibrant.

The fabric is dyed using the Double Black technique: both the warp and weft yarns are deep black, almost monochromatic. With wear and washing, the black begins to lighten subtly, and the different weave patterns gradually become more distinct. The shirt thus slowly gains character – understated at first glance, vibrant in detail.

The workmanship is classic PBJ: chest pocket, urea buttons, clean seams, PBJ leaf on the side seam. All made in Japan, all durable.
