The "2239-ID Jacquard BORO Patchwork Shirt" by Pure Blue Japan takes the Japanese Boro tradition as its starting point – and reinterprets it radically. Instead of sewn patches, the patchwork is jacquard-woven directly into the fabric. Rectangles of different textures appear to lie on top of each other, creating depth and movement without the shirt appearing garish.

Made from double indigo cotton, both the warp and weft yarns are indigo-dyed. The result: an intense, deep blue that subtly breaks up with each wash, gradually revealing the fabric structure. The variations in the jacquard weave then appear almost like natural signs of wear – vibrant, dynamic, and unique.

The workmanship showcases classic PBJ details: chest pocket, urea buttons, distinctive side seams. And as with all shirts from the brand, you can feel the Japanese craftsmanship: slowly woven, meticulously finished, and durable.
