Black Sign's "Japanese Lion and Peony Night Shirt" is based on 1940s nightshirts and is conceived here as much more than classic sleep or loungewear.

The fit remains loose but features an almost jacket-like construction. 9/10 sleeves, a low-set, open revere collar with a clear tailored feel, and an overall calm, flowing silhouette that avoids looking like pajamas. Side slits, open cuffs, a neck guard, and curved slash pockets give the piece additional structure without over-complicating it.

The fabric is 100% cotton dobby with a visible weave structure. Dry to the touch, slightly firm, with enough body to properly showcase the pattern. This precise combination of structure and airiness makes the piece suitable for summer without going limp.

The focus is on the "Lion & Peony" print. Karajishi meets peony – a classic motif pair from Asian imagery that combines strength and protection with beauty and transience. The golden lines further bring out the motif and give it more depth and movement.

It is fastened with natural Black Mother-of-Pearl Buttons.
