John Lofgren LK-013 "Black Ops" Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan Monkey Boots – Limited Edition.

Made from Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan, one of the most sought-after leathers in the world. Shinki Hikaku is a small Japanese tannery specializing in cordovan – and known for one of the cleanest, most patient tanning processes worldwide.

Cordovan leather itself doesn't come from the grain side, but from a dense fibrous layer of the horsehide. The result: a leather that is naturally compact, glossy, and remarkably durable. It doesn't crack, it "rolls."

The shape remains the classic Monkey Boot: mid-height, lace-up to the toe cap, and securely on the foot. A style that originated with linemen and roofers in the USA and has a military influence in Europe. John Lofgren takes this approach to a new level – clean lines, precise craftsmanship, and built to last.

Goodyear welt construction, Vibram sole, Japanese steel shank – no gimmicks, just well-thought-out substance. A shoe that shows what's possible when materials and craftsmanship are taken seriously.
