John Lofgren LK-013 "Black Ops" Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan Monkey Boots – Limited Edition.

Made from Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan, one of the most coveted leathers available. Shinki Hikaku is a small Japanese tannery specializing in Cordovan – known for one of the cleanest, most patient tanning processes worldwide.

Cordovan itself doesn't come from the grain side, but from a dense fiber layer of horsehide. The result: a leather that is naturally compact, shiny, and amazingly durable. It doesn't crease, it "rolls".

The shape remains classic Monkey Boot: mid-height, laceable to the toe cap, secure on the foot. A style that was at home with linemen and roofers in the US and had military origins in Europe. John Lofgren elevates this approach to a new level – clear in line, precise in craftsmanship, built to last.

Goodyear welt, Vibram sole, Japanese steel shank – no frills, just well-thought-out substance. A boot that shows what's possible when material and craftsmanship are taken seriously.
