The “SC29579 Native American Indigo Dobby Work Shirt” by SUGAR CANE plays with an indigo tradition that is rarely seen today. The fabric is a dobby twill, in which the warp and weft are dyed in different shades of indigo – from dark midnight blue to lighter tones. This creates a subtle gradation, almost like a shadow gradient in the fabric.

The woven arrow motifs are a distinctive feature, giving the shirt a graphic structure without being overpowering. The inspiration for this design dates back to mid-20th-century American western and work shirts, yet the overall look is modern and clean.

The stitching is, as always, of a high standard: double chain stitching, raw hems, and a design that oscillates between workwear and western. The indigo color noticeably deepens with wear and slowly develops its own unique patina.
