The "Super Kendo Sashiko Patchwork Jacket" by Shaw Classy combines the silhouette of classic French workwear – round collar, patch pockets, straight cut – with Japanese fabric tradition in rich indigo.

Sashiko is an ancient Japanese embroidery technique, originally used to reinforce and repair work clothes. The visible stitches create not only robustness but also a distinctive, relief-like pattern. Kendo, on the other hand, is a tightly woven cotton fabric, known from the martial arts clothing of the same name. Its coarse structure provides support and stability without restricting mobility.

Every Shaw Classy piece is created entirely in our own workshop. Woven on antique looms, dyed in indigo, sewn and washed – all in-house, no outsourcing.
