The "TROUSERS, HERRINGBONE TWILL CAMOUFLAGE SHORTS" by Buzz Rickson's take on the U.S. Army's camouflage trousers from 1943 and adapt their construction into summer shorts. The original was part of a two-piece camouflage uniform developed for various operational conditions.

Made from tightly woven herringbone twill, the fabric combines the distinctive herringbone structure of early military fabrics with classic frogskin camouflage. With wear, the fabric increasingly gains character and develops a vibrant surface.

Large patch pockets and the internal gas flap behind the button placket adopt functional details of the original and clearly show how consistently Buzz Rickson's reproduces historical military clothing down to the construction.
