The "True Guy Maekake Dobby" by Naked & Famous Denim features an unusual Japanese fabric inspired by traditional Maekake aprons. These aprons were worn in Japan for generations by merchants, brewery workers, and artisans and were designed for heavy use.
The 12.2 oz Dobby fabric has a distinctly structured surface with visible depth. The special weave creates more movement in the fabric than with classic denim, while the indigo-dyed yarns provide additional vibrancy. A light pre-wash removes the initial stiffness from the material and brings out the different indigo tones more strongly from the start.
The "True Guy" fit offers a regular rise, more room in the upper leg, and a straight leg down to the hem – a classic silhouette without taper.
