The "M-65 Fishtail Parka" by orSlow is a tribute to one of the most legendary garments of the US Army – the parka, which was introduced in the mid-1960s and shaped generations of soldiers, workers and later subcultures.
The parka owes its name to the split, "fishtail"-shaped hem on the back – originally designed to be worn over boots and to protect against wind and wet weather. orSlow remains true to this functionality: The parka is made of a robust cotton-nylon blend that keeps out the wind and withstands rain. The fit is loose and straight, with an adjustable waist, cuffs and back – just like the original.
The parka can be lined with a matching liner that can be attached with buttons. The massive zipper with wind flap, two large front pockets and the clean lines emphasize the military origin without overdoing it.
