The "Brown Fox Selvedge" is a 13 oz heavy Japanese selvedge denim, made from 100% organic FoxFibre® cotton – a rare, naturally dyed cotton variety cultivated by Californian pioneer Sally Fox. Her approach was revolutionary: to cultivate cotton in such a way that it does not require any dyes or bleaching agents. The warm brown color is created solely by the natural pigmentation of the fiber – directly from the plant.

Since the 1980s, Sally Fox has been working on crossbreeding old, brown cotton varieties with long-staple Pima cotton. This resulted in a yarn that can be processed industrially without losing its natural color – a step that significantly reduces the ecological footprint of textile production. FoxFibre® cotton is now grown using regenerative, organic methods – one of the most sustainable forms of modern agriculture.

The fabric is woven in Okayama and spun in Osaka. The warp threads remain natural, while the weft threads retain the natural brown hue of the cotton. The result is a warm, earthy denim with a fine texture and soft feel, which darkens over time and develops an individual patina.

The Weird Guy fit perfectly showcases the material: mid-rise waist, relaxed fit in the upper area and a gently tapered leg – a classic taper, timeless and versatile.
