Die "Weird Guy Kawataro Selvedge" ist Naked & Famous’ neueste Interpretation ihres Japanese Heritage Denims – diesmal als Greencast-Version. Der Name spielt auf Kawataro, den japanischen Flussdämon Kappa an, bekannt für Sumo, Trickserei und seine Vorliebe für Gurken.

Der Fabric: 14,5 oz japanischer Selvedge Denim, gewebt mit niedriger Spannung und unregelmäßigen Slub-Garnen. Das sorgt für eine raue, ungleichmäßige Struktur. Die Garne sind im Rope-Dye-Verfahren mit Indigo gefärbt, wobei die ungleichmäßige Garnstruktur das Indigo unterschiedlich stark aufnimmt. Mit der Zeit entstehen dadurch markante Kontraste und ein lebendiger, dreidimensionaler Fade.

Dazu kommen Kontrastnähte, pinke Selvedge-Kante sowie Nieten und Knöpfe aus antikem Kupfer. Eine Jeans, die den Mythos im Namen trägt – und das Handwerk im Stoff.

"Weird Guy" zeigt sich in einer schmalen Silhouette, die an Taille und Hüfte locker sitzt und ab dem Knie tapered ist.
