Die "BR02857 Low Quarter Shoes" aus der Buzz Rickson's x William Gibson Collection sind eine schwarze Version des klassischen U.S. Army Service Shoes aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, gefertigt auf dem original Army-Leisten. Das Kalbsleder ist rund sechs Monate gereift, zeigt eine feine, lebendige Struktur und liegt angenehm in der Hand.
Das Fersenloch greift das „Dog Tail“-Detail auf, um Nahtbruch unter Belastung zu vermeiden. Sohle und Absatz bestehen aus einer Reproduktion der ikonischen amerikanischen Cat’s Paw-Sohle – funktional, robust und zeitlos im Look.
Die schwarze Variante entstand aus der fiktiven schwarzen MA-1-Jacke, die William Gibson in Pattern Recognition für seine Protagonistin entwarf. Buzz Rickson’s setzte die Idee in die Realität um und legte so den Grundstein für die Type Black-Reihe – klassische Militaria in markantem Schwarz.
