The " The BR02857 Low Quarter Shoes from the Buzz Rickson's x William Gibson Collection are a black version of the classic US Army service shoe from World War II, crafted on the original Army last. The calfskin leather is aged for approximately six months, exhibiting a fine, vibrant grain and a comfortable feel.

The heel counter incorporates the "dog tail" detail to prevent seam breakage under stress. The sole and heel are a reproduction of the iconic American Cat's Paw sole – functional, robust, and timeless in look.

The black version originated from the fictional black MA-1 jacket that William Gibson designed for his protagonist in Pattern Recognition . Buzz Rickson's brought the idea to life, thus laying the foundation for the Type Black range – classic military apparel in striking black.
