Johan Lam and Andrew Chen Long founded the New York label 3sixteen in 2003. While operating Self Edge in Los Angeles and New York City, the two evolved into experienced denim connoisseurs and developed a vision for their new jeans label. Drawn by the desire to produce jeans that would become essential components of people's lives, they created hardwearing jeans that feature a lot of attention to detail. In one of the most famous denim mills in Japan, Kuroki Mills in Okayama, they weave the special denim developed by 3sixteen. The incredibly soft inner surface of the jeans is what makes them so special. These high quality products are made in U.S.A. – stitched by hand in San Francisco.
