The "BR15350 Pea Coat Suka CVA-16" is part of Buzz Rickson's "30th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION" and is based on the classic developed for the US Navy in 1910. Then as now, made from 36oz Melton wool, it fulfils its protective purpose and is elegant at the same time. The densely milled texture keeps you warm, is wind resistant and has water repellent properties, making Melton wool the most weatherproof of all woollen fabrics. Until the end of the 1930s, it featured black Bakelite buttons with an anchor surrounded by 13 stars. The originally plain pea coat received its individual embroidery through a special incident: when the crew of the USS Lexington, CVA-16, made a harbour visit to Yokosuka, the naval officers took their pea coats to the local tailor's shop, which was located in the naval exchange at the Yokosuka base. There they had their pea coats embroidered as souvenirs with elaborate motifs that they had chosen and put together themselves.

We use DHL for national and international shipping. Delivery within Europe usually takes 3-5 days and international delivery takes 15 days on average.
Shipping costs
Shipping within Germany incurs a flat fee of 4,90€, regardless of size or weight of the order. Returns within Germany are free. Deliveries within the EEC and Switzerland cost 12€ per order and delivceries to the USA and Canada cost 25€, while other international deliveries cost 30€ per order. For deliveries outside the EU, please be aware that customs or import duties may apply, which you would have to cover. For further information, please contact your local customs authority.
You also have the option of collecting your order from Burg & Schild, Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 3, 10178 Berlin, from Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 19:00. Please give us at least 24 hours advance notice, so that we can prepare your order.

Returns
Unworn products can be returned within 14 days. Shipping costs for refund items in Germany are free. International shipping costs depend from country to country. Please inform yourself at your local post office and note that returns should be sent insured. If you want to return an item, please send an e-mail to onlineshop@burgundschild.com including your order number. We will send you a link to a returns label, which you can print and place on the package and bring it to the next DHL store.
