THE REAL McCOY's "TYPE L-2A" is based on the innovative flight jacket first made of nylon for warmer climates and seasons towards the end of World War II. As the Korean War approached, the USAF changed the colour of most of its flying uniforms from "Olive Drab" to "Air Force Blue" to differentiate itself from the other branches of the armed forces and demonstrate its independence. However, experience in combat zones showed that the chances of survival were significantly higher in camouflage colours. Therefore, the blue flight jacket of the Air Force was mainly used in non-combat areas until the end of the Korean War, so that the "L-2A" only had a relatively short production period. THE REAL McCOY's "TYPE L-2A" is authentically recreated down to the smallest detail. Made from a specially manufactured nylon fabric that faithfully reproduces the characteristics of the extremely durable nylon material of the 1950s. Nylon 66 was invented by the DuPont Co. and became the preferred material for military jackets due to its excellent durability and flame resistance.

Shipping
We use DHL for national and international shipping. Delivery within Europe usually takes 3-5 days and international delivery takes 15 days on average.
Shipping costs
Shipping within Germany incurs a flat fee of 4,90€, regardless of size or weight of the order. Returns within Germany are free. Deliveries within the EEC and Switzerland cost 12€ per order and delivceries to the USA and Canada cost 25€, while other international deliveries cost 30€ per order. For deliveries outside the EU, please be aware that customs or import duties may apply, which you would have to cover. For further information, please contact your local customs authority.
You also have the option of collecting your order from Burg & Schild, Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 3, 10178 Berlin, from Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 19:00. Please give us at least 24 hours advance notice, so that we can prepare your order.

Returns
Unworn products can be returned within 14 days. Shipping costs for refund items in Germany are free. International shipping costs depend from country to country. Please inform yourself at your local post office and note that returns should be sent insured. If you want to return an item, please send an e-mail to onlineshop@burgundschild.com including your order number. We will send you a link to a returns label, which you can print and place on the package and bring it to the next DHL store.
