The "01-1010W-D61S 101 Dad's Fit BK Denim Stone" by orSlow takes its name from the trousers an American father might have worn in the countryside in the 1990s. The silhouette follows this image exactly: generous through the hip and thigh, relaxed in the leg and slightly tapered towards the hem.
It is made from a black 12.5 oz denim woven in Japan. After sewing, the jeans are washed with pumice stone. The stone rubs the surface, breaking down the deep black into a muted, slightly grey tone and allowing the fabric to lose its initial stiffness. This creates a fine contrast on the seams, pocket edges, and waistband from the very first wear.
This development continues with wear. Black denim fades differently than indigo: instead of harsh contrasts, soft grey gradations develop at the knees, thighs, and pockets.
Size reference: The trousers run large. The model is 184 cm tall, weighs 79 kg, and wears size 2/W30.
