The "SC41823 11oz Hickory Stripe Work Pants" by Sugar Cane, made in Japan, are based on American workwear from the 1940s. Clean lines, functional details, and a construction designed for durability.
Made from a robust 11 oz hickory stripe fabric, woven on traditional shuttle looms. The dark stripes are rope-dyed with indigo and develop a patina similar to denim over time.
The distinctive pattern was originally worn by the US Navy and quickly found its way into civilian workwear. It provided better visibility – for example, on railway tracks or among machines – and thus became a firm component of classic workwear.
