Die "IHM-53-ODG 12oz Whipcord Lightweight N1 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green" von IRON HEART geht auf die N-1 Deck Jacket der US Navy zurück, die in den 1940er- und 1950er-Jahren als Winterjacke getragen wurde und danach über den Surplus-Handel in zivile Garderoben gelangte. Diese Ausführung fällt leichter aus: Das Futter besteht aus 6,2 oz schwerem Ventile-Baumwollstoff aus Japan, einem dicht gewebten Stoff ohne Beschichtung. Bei Nässe quellen die Fasern auf und schließen das Gewebe, Wind und Regen bleiben draußen.
Das Obermaterial ist 12oz schwere Whipcord, auch Jungle Cloth genannt. Hart gedrehte Garne werden in steilem Köper gewebt, daraus entsteht die diagonale Rippe. Die dichte Bindung macht den Stoff abriebfest und winddicht. Kette und Schuss sind reaktiv gefärbt und farbfixierend ausgerüstet, der Olive-Ton bleibt dadurch lange erhalten.
Kragen, Bündchen und Taschen sind mit 14-Wale-Cord gefüttert, der weicher auf der Haut liegt als der Whipcord-Stoff. Mit Buttoned Cinches an Saum und Ärmeln lässt sich die Weite regulieren, ein Paracord-Zugband am Saum ist ab Werk montiert. Nach der Konfektion wird die Jacke einmal gewaschen, sodass kein weiterer nennenswerter Einlauf zu erwarten ist.
