Die "MDNT-019 14oz Midnight Relaxed Tapered" von PURE BLUE JAPAN wird aus einem eigens entwickelten 14oz Selvedge Denim gefertigt. Für den charakteristischen „Midnight“-Ton kombiniert PURE BLUE JAPAN mit Indigo und Schwefelfarbe gefärbte Kettfäden mit schwarzen Schussfäden. So entsteht ein tiefes Indigo, das durch die schwarze Nuance eine besondere Farbtiefe erhält.
Wie beim XX-14oz-Denim des Labels besitzt auch dieser Stoff eine leicht unregelmäßige, griffige Oberfläche. Mit zunehmendem Tragen verändern sich die übereinanderliegenden Farbtöne und die Textur des Denims und entwickeln mit der Zeit eine individuelle Optik.
Der Relaxed-Tapered-Schnitt sitzt etwas tiefer und bietet mehr Raum an Hüfte und Oberschenkeln. Unterhalb des Knies wird das Bein schmaler und läuft in einer aufgeräumten Silhouette zum Saum.
