The "D1904 "Futa-Ai" Jeans" by STUDIO D’ARTISAN are based on the traditional Japanese Futa-ai (Two-Indigo) dyeing technique, which has been used since the Heian period. This technique combines indigo with other natural dyes, built up in multiple layers, giving the denim a deep, subtly nuanced color effect.

The jeans are made from 16oz Right-Hand-Twill Selvedge Denim, woven on classic old power looms in Japan. The blend of indigo and other dyes creates a complex, dark base color with subtle changes as it's worn.

The fit is a classic Regular Straight: mid-rise, balanced volume in the thigh, and a straight leg without strong tapering. A stable, timeless silhouette that is based on traditional jeans shapes.
