The "50's Jeans" from TCB are made from 13.5oz Japanese Selvedge Denim from Zimbabwe cotton. The irregular yarn structure creates a lively, distinctive surface. With wear, the denim develops characteristic fading: initially, light spots appear, which over time connect to form vertical fade lines.
TCB uses four yarn colors and five yarn thicknesses for the construction, which are specifically used depending on the seam to replicate the different seam patterns of the vintage original. The back pockets are equipped with hidden rivets, and the pocket bags are finished with coarse seams. The paper patch is hand-sewn and designed to tear with wear, revealing its dark blue underside.
The handmade paper patch is deliberately not designed for maximum durability. With increasing wear, it begins to tear, revealing the dark blue fabric on its back.
