TCB's "50's Jacket" is a reconstruction of the classic 1950s Type II denim jacket, based on a vintage Levi's 507XX original. TCB has meticulously studied the original and manufactures the jacket in Kojima, Okayama, the heart of Japanese denim production.

The 13.5 oz selvedge denim is made from 100% Zimbabwe Cotton. Irregular yarn thicknesses and the tension of the fabric, crafted on historical looms, create its characteristic, lively texture. With wear, small bright fading points initially appear, which over time connect to form distinctive vertical fades.

The construction also follows the vintage original: The two chest pockets are made with a historical double stitch, and the bar tacks are reproduced true to the original in width, strength, and position. The current version is cut slightly narrower in the chest and sleeves and slightly longer compared to the vintage original.

The handmade paper patch is deliberately not designed for maximum durability. With increasing wear, it begins to tear, revealing the dark blue fabric on its reverse side.
