JELADO's 55 Denim is inspired by the Levi's 501 XX of the early 1950s, translating its work pant silhouette into a precise Japanese reproduction. The cut is wide and straight, with a high waist – clearly functional, without any fashionable embellishments.
The jeans are made from 14oz selvedge denim of 100% American cotton. For the specially developed "LAST RESORT" denim, an original deadstock XX fabric from the 1950s was completely disassembled and analyzed – from fiber length and yarn twist to indigo dyeing. Woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan, with a precisely matched color.
Copper rivets, iron buttons with the JELADO logo, orange stitching, and the characteristic pocket quilting faithfully follow the historical model. A deerskin leather patch, the woven "LAST RESORT" label in the inner pocket, the red tab, and the offset rear belt loop complete the overall look.
Once washed, it retains its shape and is ready for everyday use.
