The JELADO 55 Denim draws from the Levi’s 501 XX of the early 1950s, translating its workwear silhouette into a precise Japanese reproduction. The cut is wide and straight with a high rise – functional in essence, with no modern styling adjustments.

The jeans are crafted from 14oz selvedge denim made of 100% American cotton. For the specially developed “LAST RESORT” denim, an original 1950s deadstock XX fabric was fully deconstructed and analysed – from fibre length and yarn twist to indigo dye characteristics. It is woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan, calibrated to match the original tone as closely as possible.

Copper rivets, iron buttons with JELADO branding, orange stitching, and the characteristic pocket construction follow the historical reference closely. A deerskin leather patch, woven “LAST RESORT” label inside the pocket, Red Tab, and the offset rear belt loop complete the construction.
