The "60s Jeans" by TCB reconstruct a jeans model from the 1960s, based on early Levi's 66 models. They are manufactured in Kojima, Okayama, the center of Japanese denim production.
The 13oz selvedge denim is made from 100% San Joaquin Cotton from California's southern Central Valley. TCB has developed a denim from this cotton whose bluish indigo, pronounced slubbiness, and slightly hairy surface are reminiscent of jeans from that era. With wear, the surface changes and gradually develops its own characteristic fade structure.
The jeans are sewn throughout with 20-gauge core-spun thread. The handmade paper patch is applied after the jeans are constructed. The seams are deliberately placed a few millimeters inside the patch's edge, allowing it to fray circularly over time.
The cut combines a relaxed rise with a generous thigh and a slightly tapered leg. Instead of the original red tab, the current version features an indigo-dyed tab, which also changes and fades with wear.
