The "60's Jeans" by TCB is a reconstruction of a 1960s denim model, based on early Levi's 66 models. The jeans are manufactured in Japan.
The 13oz Selvedge Denim is made from 100% San Joaquin Cotton from California's southern Central Valley. The cotton there is irrigated with groundwater fed by snowmelt from the surrounding mountain regions. TCB has developed a denim from this cotton whose bluish indigo, pronounced slubbiness, and slightly hairy surface are reminiscent of jeans from that era. With wear, the surface changes and gradually develops its own fade structure.
It is sewn throughout with size 20 core-spun thread. The handcrafted paper patch is applied after the jeans are constructed; the seams intentionally run a few millimeters inside the edge of the patch. This causes the edge to fray characteristically roundly over time. The cut combines a relaxed rise and generous room in the thigh with a slight taper to the hem.
In the current model, the original red tab has been replaced by an indigo-dyed tab. The jeans are one-wash and therefore have already been washed once.
