The "Lot. BR80644 Type A-2 'CONTRACT No. W535 ac-21996 BUZZ RICKSON CLO.CO.'" by BUZZ RICKSON'S is a reproduction of an A-2 flight jacket from the Aero Leather Clothing Company, which began manufacturing A-2 jackets for the US Army Air Forces in the late 1930s. According to Buzz Rickson's research, Aero Leather was one of the contractors with the highest delivery numbers among all A-2 manufacturers—an indication of the company's comparatively stable production capacity. The model for this jacket is a piece from the fifth production series, delivered in 1941. Starting with this production series, Aero Leather abandoned the stand-up collar featured in the four preceding series.

It is crafted from Bronco Hide, a vegetable-tanned horsehide in Seal Brown. It features 100% wool rib-knit cuffs and hem in red—out of the 18 contractors and 39 total production series under this procurement program, this color scheme was used exclusively by Aero Leather and is considered a hallmark of the manufacturer. The jacket is lined with 100% cotton broadcloth.
