The “Age of Longing Black Tag 407EXX” (JP94407E) by Jelado draws from early Type I denim jackets of the 1930s. The single chest pocket, cinch back, metal buttons, and reduced construction follow the first generation of American denim jackets, where function and build were clearly at the forefront.

At the core is the specially developed 15oz LASTRESORT Black Tag Denim. For its creation, original deadstock denims were analysed in detail – from yarn thickness and weave structure to natural ageing behaviour. The result is a heavy denim with a pronounced vertical texture and deep indigo tone, where uneven yarns already create a lively surface in its raw state.

The in-store images of the original garment show very directly how closely Jelado approaches these historical references. At the same time, they give a clear impression of how the Black Tag Denim develops over time – from early edge fading to strong contrasts and a fade that only emerges through consistent wear.
