The mid-height cap-toe silhouette is based on a specially developed last and evokes a time when work and dress shoes still shared many common constructive features.

The boot is made from Heavy Calf, a strong calfskin with a smooth surface and firm structure. The leather is elaborately finished to highlight the typical shine of classic dress shoes, while the material thickness gives the shoe a striking presence. Natural cowhide leather is used on the inside.

The manufacturing is done using Goodyear-welted construction. The separate Army Rubber Sole is combined with a specially processed leather sole and built in such a way that both layers visually form a unit. This maintains the shoe's sleek silhouette, while the sole construction is designed for daily use.

Details such as the finely executed double stitching on the upper leather, the neatly finished frame edge, and the waxed cotton laces with metal ends demonstrate the combination of traditional shoemaking and Black Sign's distinctive style.
