The "Rusty Rods" athletic T-shirt from The Real McCoy's is made from 6.8 oz heavy-weight loopwheel jersey and finished with hand-applied flock print in their own factory in Kobe.

Loopwheel T-shirts stand for durable quality – far removed from fast fashion. Production is elaborate and uses rare circular knitting machines ("Tsuriami-ki") in Wakayama, which create a seamless, stretchy fabric. The material feels almost hand-woven, is soft to wear and retains its shape after washing.

The "Rusty Rods" design draws inspiration from the motorcycle racing teams of the 40s and 50s. Clubs and teams competed in flat-track or road races, using their own uniforms and logos as a statement – a visible sign of their identity.
