Based on the flight jacket that was standardized on May 8, 1934 as "Type B-3" and became an official part of the USAAF uniform. Details and features are an improved development of the British "Irvin" flight jacket, which was developed by Leslie Irvin, an American aerial acrobat and pioneer of parachuting. The Type B3 became the standard version of the "Heavy Zone" flight jacket for the next 10 years.

For over 25 years, Eastman has been producing this warm classic that is unrivalled in authenticity. From the details to the look of the leather. Eastman only uses hides from a specific North American breed of sheep, which are processed and dyed by hand using traditional methods to ensure absolute authenticity.
