The "Boston Wool Moon Buckle TEX Off White" was created in collaboration between BIRKENSTOCK 1774 and COLE BENNETT. Bennett is known as the founder of Lyrical Lemonade and for his work as a music video director. His connection to BIRKENSTOCK dates back several years: The brand featured him early on in their "Birkenstory" series.
The base is the Boston, one of BIRKENSTOCK's characteristic closed clogs. The classic silhouette with a closed toe and an adjustable strap remains, but is reinterpreted here with special materials and details.
Instead of classic suede, this version uses a wool textile in off-white. The eponymous Moon Buckle replaces the classic buckle and creates its own minimalist look.
Inside is the anatomically shaped BIRKENSTOCK cork-latex footbed, covered with leather. The characteristic footbed construction has been a central component of BIRKENSTOCK models for decades.
The name 1774 refers to the historical roots of the brand: As early as 1774, Johann Adam Birkenstock was listed as a shoemaker in the church archives of Langen-Bergheim. The 1774 collection takes up this heritage and combines it with contemporary materials, shapes, and collaborations.
