The pea coat is a classic that has stood for strength, simplicity, and functionality for over a century. Originally developed for the US Navy in the 1910s, it became the epitome of maritime uniform culture – made from dense, 36oz heavy Melton wool and equipped with anchor buttons, whose 13 stars symbolize the United States. Back then, there were two versions: a hip-length and a knee-length.

The "US Navy Pea Coat Long BR14146" by Buzz Rickson's follows the long version of this historical model. It has two additional pockets with flaps and is lined with wool instead of viscose – a true-to-detail reissue, robust, warm and built as it once was worn on deck.
