The " The "BA23105 Striped Action Socks" by BUCO pick up on a detail that is inextricably linked to the outlaw biker scene of the 1950s: the two-tone block stripe pattern – rough, striking, deliberately brushed against the grain.

Reminiscent of prison stripes, club members deliberately wore them as a way of distancing themselves from the tidy style of the pre-war era. After the war, many veterans found a new kind of community on their motorcycles. Instead of uniforms: jerseys, jeans, and boots. The thick stripes became a statement against etiquette, against order, against the establishment.

Hollywood did the rest – at least since the Hollister Riot in 1947, bikers were considered rebels. And the distinctive stripes became the uniform of the outsider on screen.

The socks come with a high shaft, woven BUCO lettering and are knitted from strong, pure cotton – made for boots.
